Finally after nearly 30 years of my life, I get to finally cast a vote on Voting Day. Where am I? I'm right smack in the hotseat of Bishan-Toa Payoh GRC where for the first time in my life I'm not experiencing a boring walkover. Finally there's someone who is competent enough to raise and pique any interest from the people here. Finally there can be some change. Understandably, I know who I will vote for, with Obama in mind. Change is good.
It doesn't matter what our dear Lao Lee said about people regretting their votes. I mean, what's there to regret? My estate already had its upgrading. What, you gonna take them down? I don't think so. Instead, what will probably happen is that my vote may very well take the ruling party out. Cos I can.
I think it's just plain narrow-minded of Lao Lee to say all those biting words, especially in this age and time. Most of us are not coolie workers. Most of us are not fishermen. Most of us are not simple peasants. We citizens work and earn income and pay taxes and pay ERP and whatnots. The nation and government depends on us now. The people are your only means of sustenance. On this small island, with only granite and a little stone here and there as our only natural resources, I really do feel suppressed if the government are putting things in that very kind of perspective where I find myself with no other choice but to take up their flag and wave it unwillingly, only to know that my ricebowl is safe and peace be with me.
Nope, I'm not that kind of person. I like change. White is boring. Show me some colours. On my side, I can carve myself a bigger ricebowl, don't worry about that, I'm a very evolved caveman. On the other hand, I also have the need to look up to a higher order that actually works, by means of making a better place to live in, by making its people a priority, by truly safeguarding its assets and security, and not by means of suppressants and threats and hidden-words-crouching-whiteass situations.
Whoever is reading this, vote for what works. Whoever it may be, they have the next 5 years to prove it. For me, I'm just giving others to prove themselves too.

I posted something about this awesome device before, I can't remember when...
The best thing is, now I've got it. I love you baby for the wonderful gift! Totally sated my gadget-crave. And I don't even care if the sound quality isn't top-notch.
Now check out the video...

Had an argument. Over something I commented. For what should be an honest unbiased opinion becomes an insensitive unnecessary behavior/attitude.
On the way home, I pondered to make sense of it all. I usually have a straight answer for things but when it comes to my other half, I always had to have something to screw things up. Something about me at some point of time had to react in someway somehow and then it ends up a mistake I didn't even realise.
Thanks to me, I do not have anything to be proud of. Thanks to me, I do not see my own faults. Thanks to me, a disappointment.
For what it's worth, I'm sorry.

Ok back from movie. Toy Story 3 IS good as ever. The same old cast are back, among some new wacky characters. A great watch to end the day.
Alright, back to storytime from the land of smiles.
As usual, it's shopping gala for the woman. Baby bought some good steals, being especially proud of her cosmetic heist. Even for a makeup fool like me can say that if you don't buy them there, you are s.t.e.w.p.i.d. Most of my steals are food. Cheap food is what GSS should be all about man. Who needs cheap clothes?
And lucky for me, I was spared the atrocious monopoly of broadcasting brats to be able to catch World Cup live in the comfort of my bed, complimentary of the ever kind and generous Thai media body which didn't think of joining the profiteering fray, unlike our local "Singbell and Starcub", if you know what I mean. Plus plenty of beer to go along of course. Drink, drank, Goooaaaallll!!!
There was Discovery Channel as well. I caught an episode of Ghost Lab. Sweet stuff, so I thought I could do some experimenting on my own, since I heard so many accounts of paranormal activities in this part of the land. So one fine night, while baby was sleeping, I logged into Youtube and loaded epsiodes of Ghost Lab, made sure everywhere was dark and eerie, placed my laptop on the desk with a wall mirror facing me, plugged in my earphones and I'm set. Perfect setting for paranormal activity. So I watched the episodes, hoping maybe something might happen in the room as well.
**After 2 hours...**
Ok, nothing. Maybe ghosts and beer don't mix. I was drinking while watching LOL. BORING. I slept soundly that night without even a dream. BUSTED.
Down the road from the hotel was a condominium. A portion of the sales poster read, "Starting from 12 MB". That's 12 million THB. Which is about a little more than 500K SGD. Goodness. With that amount here can only buy a 5-room flat probably? There, it's one freaking condo unit. The best thing is, the building's 34 floors high and get this: it's 1 floor 1 unit. KNN.
So you see why I can't blame myself for being afraid to return to SG. Damn it. I really don't see why I had to give 2 years of my life to the country for naught. Now that I'm back, it's hermit mode for a long time while I endure the wihdrawal symptoms. Totally not cool. Even baby felt sick upon landing...tsk...see? It's not just me.

9 freaking days in a foreign land...woot...the longest I have stayed.
Coming back, GSS stands puny beside BKK.
Photos will come later. Basically baby was there to work, I was there to play LOL but of cos I have to carry a fair share of her ...oooppff...heavy...uugghh...equipment. Lucky never exceed allowance.
Touchdown at Suvarnabhumi brings familiarity. Everything outside the terminal are as normal. None of the suspicious people in red or yellow. Very good. First things first, haggle taxi price to hotel but I think now they more organized. They even have counters to serve you. Funny sia, taxi uncles trying to be like check-in counter staff. I call it a cartel. Obviously lidat they can control price better. Somehow I rather these people not get smarter...tsk.
We got ourselves a serviced apartment. The room was so big and got better amenities than a standard hotel room. Nice. I spent a good time figuring how to work the washing machine while baby is away at work. Success. Ironing was a failure though. The bloody iron was leaking black rust literally. Spoilt hardware is a definite no-no. I gave my best impression of Mr Bean's disgruntled face to the room service staff when she came by. Success. New iron delivered immediately.
Buildings in BKK are typically short so at the 11th floor I had a good view out the window. Very good for panaromic shots.
I had pretty much time to myself while baby was away. Though I feel like exploring on my own, it doesn't feel right that I'm doing it without baby. Not as if I'm backpacking alone. I reckoned I will just walk around the area which was just fine since I'm not really keen on haggling prices to travel around. There's so much more to see when I'm not on wheels.
After baby finished her work at her event, we spent the evenings mostly exploring night markets. Imagine once, I was actually mistakenly thought to be a stall owner by some ang-mo, asking me "how much?". I was like "WWHHHAAATTTT? No no, me not thai but you gimme money I take, kap koon krap!". Well he wasn't apologetic at all and just turned away looking for the owner. I had to make sure he saw me rolling my bloody eyeballs at him before I bumped his shoulder purposefully and walked away with a fuck-care face.
I wanted so much to try the famous mango rice at Siam Sq but it got burned down. There's another outlet at Central World but that whole bloody building got burned down too. WWHHHAAATTTT!!! It's like, you got the whole of BKK to burn but you just had to burn down that mall. WTF. If you had wanted to make a statement, why don't you just burn yourselves up? That will really say something, ain't it? Mango rice gone, not cool.
There's lots more to say but I'm off to watch Toy Story 3. To be continued...

It's not going smoothly at all. Do withdrawal symptoms include shorter tempers?
It's only 3/4 of the day gone and I'm already pissed. I dunno why there can be such an argument over a matter that is totally unrelated to the other party.
I need a cold shower man. Like now.
I'm supposed to feel good right? Why is it going the other way?

As I dumped my lighter into the bin with longing last night, I realised I had puffed away 10 good years since I was 19.
I made a promise to cut it down and eventually quit it. So today will be my first day of total abstinence, after a period of gradually maintaining some sense of control against the urge. Let's just see how long I can keep this up.

Logged in to my twitter today and saw this msg:
Congratulations you are a winner in the Convergent Systems X-Mini giveaway.
then a link...

LOL...It's nice to see myself win something out of nowhere. And so I went down to the stated office address and received this:
So heng. I guess my spamming on Twitter and FB during the IT Show paid off. Apparently one of these cost about $50 retail price?(It is going for $50 on eBay anyway)
Cool. (^.^)y

Woo...in a blink of an eye, it had been almost 5mths since I last posted.
In this time, I had made a do-or-die decision. Or more like a not-an-option card that I have to play. If I don't do it now, it might be too late for me to do it in the future. If I do it now, then I better do it good, otherwise I could just plainly die and hope everything resets itself. Blah.
It should have been done long ago anyway. If I hadn't been procrastinating and maybe were a little bit smarter, I could have been different.
Better later than never, so they say. This will be my last break. I guess I won't be giving myself anymore chances after this. Do or die.
Anyway, lame Reds screwed up my trip yet again. I really don't understand what those dumb fucks are trying to do. One moment they self-claimed to be peaceful protestors, next moment people started dying from grenade blasts. WTH is wrong with you people? Rally so many protestors also no use. What kind of changes are there? In the end also use violence...den might as well just go all out to war with the government in the first place...dumb asses. Waste so much time. I could have gone for my vacation and back.
...I want to go BKK arrrr......
COE went down...yay
Property went up...boo
Public transport fares so-called going down...ok
Electricity up...knn
Battlestar Galactica still closed...if you already went there, well sux to be you
ERP revised...Eh all you souvenir shops, time to pack all the Merlions and put out the ERPs
I bought Toto recently. I believed that I will not win anything. I have absolutely no idea why I had to put money down this time. Let's see if I come even close on today's results. Quite cool that a $3.50 receipt can make me feel some anticipation.
Baby's waiting for me. Signing out.

Hah, to think this is my first post of the new year. Yet again, it's not so surprising. Nothing much changed, except the year, thus my title.
Usually now is the time for resolutions but I kinda like wanna sit out on this. Resolutions never were really in sync with my being all these years. Maybe the fact that nothing I started out on ever went the way it was intended plays a part.
So this year, I shall just go on my guts and barge thru a path for myself, something which I could have done eons ago. But then, I do blame myself for the way things are now. In reflection, it can only always be my own fault. Be it a wrong choice, a silly mistake or plain dumbness.
Most unfortunately, Baby bore the brunt of my folly. One miscalculated move could really cause a mushroom cloud of collateral damage that could have been easily prevented. She's just an innocent victim in the fallout. I wished that I didn't exist in the first place.
No, I shan't be emo. I will see my guilt till the end and for once I'm more than willing to repay a debt of gratitude to a person whom I know will be the first to appear when I cry for help. For once I tell myself that I will bring this commitment to my grave. For once I felt like I found a big piece of my life's puzzle.
This year will be great. It has to be. (^.^)y

When I finally logged in for the first time in more than a month, I knew I totally outdated myself. Time to change my blogskin. Time to add new posts. Time to start writing about my life again.
Just came back from a great weekend with baby. So many places went and explored. It's just so convenient with a vehicle. I hate to let go of the experience and go back to harsh reality but still it's not that we can't do it again another time.
Nice vehicle I got, Fiat Punto with a sunroof. Good deal for the weekend given it's inclusive of the public holiday on Friday. The condition not very ideal, for e.g. wheelhubs like machiam rusted, scratches and stains visible on the bodywork, air-con not strong, dusty windscreens, slow acceleration, weak in-car audio. The only thing that transcends all the flaws is the sunroof. Baby loved it. I got no complaints to that.
Got car go places. Really. Ulu place? No problem. Went Marina Barrage to check it out. If we had taken public transport sure cry. Even by driving, I had to swing down several intersections. Can't they just build one straight road there? KNN. Nothing much other than a great view of the skyline, with the Singapore Flyer right smack in the middle like a pulsating metal doughnut.
Visited Pasir Ris Park one of the late afternoons. Windy and relaxing. Several kite flyers doing their thing. Got one guy with his kite so high up it took him like ages to wind it back. Could have used a fishing reel for that.
Went Dempsey twice for Ben and Jerry's. First visit was too crowded. Like the whole Singapore went down for icecream lidat. We just took away and savoured our icecream in the car.
Went to the zoo too. Saw my fav otters!! 7 of them, uber cute and cuddly. I could watch them forever. Baby's surprised by the size of the tapir. It's big, black and white and runs fast. Lucky it's a herbivore. Visited the legendary white tigers. Actually it's not their fault, the guy previously was bent on dying. The tigers merely helped fulfill his wish. Applause for that. We had a good laugh at the baboon enclosure. Red buttocks on a primate just don't work man, I tell you. Then the giant tortoise is really gigantic. Then the mousedeer so darn small. In the whole animal world the otter is the cutest, period.
Also went airport to eat at Popeye's. The air-con there is free man. If I can tapao all the cold air there, I would. Where got people shiver after eating a hot meal one? Walan eh.
Had Founder's Bak Kut Teh at Balestier Road. Got one big photo that the owner took with Jay Chou. I almost wanted to take it down. LOL.
Drove down to Science Centre at far away Jurong. We go there not to see science. Go there to see dead bodies...errm...preserved bodies...at Body Worlds. Pretty educational, like how my lungs will look like now if I were to take them out. The exhibits were real people. Amazing. If I were to donate my body after I die, dunno they will take or not...
Lastly, we went partying at WaveHouse, Sentosa's latest beach club. More happening than Cafe Del Mar. Bcos got artificial wave machine. Den got bikini babes. And hunks in thongs. Chanel was there to perform. If you dunno who she is, think "I fell in love with a DJ, DJ...". Den also got Shan Wee from 98.7FM to cover the event. Had a great time there...highly recommended to visit at least once.
Edit: Pics coming soon.

Great to see you guys again! 401 pah buay toh....woot!
Had a great time hanging out with old drinking buddies at UP last night. Nothing's changed, just as wild as usual. It's really a good thing to hang loose and have plain old good fun with people who have no trouble being themselves and drink their guts out while making merry. Hell yeah, I'll say.
Baby met them for the first time and fitted right in. Hope you had a good time too sweets :)
Check out the pics under Crap Shots.
Today we finally decided to go watch Cloudy with A Chance of Meatballs in 3D.
Just drop me a plate of sashimi everyday...
Saw the trailer for Toy Story 3. Looking forward to it (^.^)y
Full cast of characters back in action...

This post is to tell you that I'm not dead yet.
What else can still happen to me? When such an unfortunate and unlucky experience can even befall upon an ordinary me, seriously, how worse can my life get?
A handphone not even a month old...gone.
A beloved cap given as a birthday gift by my beloved...gone.
A pair of nice flip-flops chosen by my love...gone.
The bloody pig who did this to me, I believe karma will soon knock on your door. Trust me. No way you can run.

Today's my official 1st day in my new position and there are already plenty of work to be done.
I'm not complaining, it's just about getting my ass straight and fit in. It's not an easy job at the very least as I never thought myself to be able to teach, don't say training others.
Thinking of it, I feel so not confident though. As I see it, things are pretty new to me in a way so it's hard for me to tell how far I can go. Tsk...cannot cannot...it's now or never. Otherwise, like wat my director said, time goes down the road and I still hentataki. The way he reinforced that thought in my head got kinda scary. It's like if I don't take this wake-up call now, there won't be another. Still, I appreciate the words of advice he had given me so far. It's true I have been putting on deaf ears for too long.
If I'm alone, probably I wouldn't have taken this route. Now with baby by my side, I'll be quite an ass if I have nothing to provide.
So let's hope for once, I can taste some success in something I do.
(^.^)y

Otherwise, like wat my director said, time goes down the road and I still hentataki. The way he reinforced that thought in my head got kinda scary. It's like if I don't take this wake-up call now, there won't be another. Still, I appreciate the words of advice he had given me so far. It's true I have been putting on deaf ears for too long.
If I'm alone, probably I wouldn't have taken this route. Now with baby by my side, I'll be quite an ass if I have nothing to provide.
So let's hope for once, I can taste some success in something I do.

Finally got some time to do some updates here. The super early working hours for the past temp job left me pretty drained at the end of the day...come to think of it, how long have I not been updating? lol...
Alot of old news. Watched Taking of Pelham 123 and Transformers 2 in the last month. I wonder what will happen if our own MRT got hijacked? Hmm let's see...some auntie will go press the red button and complain to the train operator on why the train stopped halfway and she's late for her mahjong session and she's gonna miss the 5.20pm bus from Hougang Interchange and she thought it's going to rain soon and she haven't bring in her laundry yet......if John Travolta's character is in that MRT, the movie's probably gonna end then and there.
Transformers will die hard. If the producers have any heart, please make more sequels. Like 10 or more...at least more than Star Wars or something. Even then, where got enuff? It's like so good lor, wahlau...
Everybody knows by now, MJ is dead. Pity he had to go early. I kinda grew up with his music. His earlier songs were so catchy and the earlier MTVs were so Bollywood. ROFL. If you've seen the spin-offs, you will know what I mean. There are rumours that he's still alive and kicking, that he cloned himself beforehand and he's going to go ahead with his world tour. How ridiculous is that? Give the dead man a break.
July comes. Checked your account yet? Mediocre GST credits rolling in.
Baby finally got her Nokia E71. ENVY!!! I also want new phone......bloody M1 never give me voucher one. I wanna switch provider liao.
Can't wait for Ice Age 3 to come. Den I can see Baby in action...errr...I mean Scrat. (^.^)y

Spent the evening making spaghetti with Baby. Now, I dunno how to cook. So I helped by watching the fire. That I can do.
Making spaghetti is surprisingly easy, given the process of preparation. It's just troublesome. LOL okayyy, I knowww...guys will be guys. I'm pretty contented with just putting the spaghetti into the pot and let it cook itself.
These are what we used.

After all the work, we have ourselves a nice dinner. Then I realised why cooking is best left to the ladies. Because we men either just can't be bothered with the details or we become logical preachers coming right out of Einstein's lab like as if we know how to cook in the place.
Things like, 'U sure u have enuff oil in here?'...'Why can't u center the pot over the fire?'...'I think I need to add more water, in case it boils dry'. Thinking back, I think I actually said all those stuff. Funny shyt.
But still, I got to say it doesn't hurt to learn a thing or two around the kitchen. To all the boys out there, women dig this. If you can cook, guarantee plus chop you are for keeps. Donch say I neber tell you hor.
