Earlier, a friend was in a sad mood. He had a problem in his relationship.
When I see him, I see myself more than a year back. Back then, I too, was struggling to keep terms with my mind, heart and soul. To make a simple decision sometimes takes plain guts. Sometimes it's just a matter of time. Sooner-or-later kind of thing.
Having stepped out of a long relationship myself, I wouldn't say I'm a guru. Realization of certain truths depends on the individual. All i can say is that, in a rs, there's no right or wrong. The most important thing most people forget is to make things work for both parties, no matter what it takes. Just 2 simple rules and an uncontrollable factor.
2 rules: trust and empathy
Factor: time
Since time is uncontrollable, put it aside. Work on the trust and empathy. Both have to work at same time. Without one, the other will fail. With both, the rs will go a long way. That is, if you also have time on your side. Which I didn't, sad to say.
So my friend, since you have made a decision, the time now is for you to think about it. Whatever comes out of it, do not leave room for regrets. You know what's best for yourself. If you don't, then just follow your heart. It can't be helped sometimes if you have to be selfish.

Oh ya, I just got myself a godson. WTH. I used to be against such unreal associations but come to think of it, it isn't too bad to play a fatherly role. Well, it's about time anyway, ya know, given my age....dad-in-training....lol. Don't worry, I don't use cane one. Phonebook and hammer always works (^.^)y.
